Artist consultant
Catherine, known to her students and colleagues as Cathy, conducts
group art workshops and private
art sessions with different populations, including hospice patients,
under-performing public school children, clients with various mental
and physical disabilities and
the homeless population in the New York City area.
She is currently an
artist consultant at AHRC,
working on art projects with adult consumers with
developmental disabilities. In addition, she is an artist educator at
the Museum of Arts and Design
in New York City where she teaches school-age children, many of them
public
school students from inner city with limited access to museums.
Cathy actively works with
non-profit organizations that help bring art and art education to
marginalized
groups. She is currently a
doctoral student in the Art & Art Education program,
Teachers College, Columbia University.
